• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Travelers must pass DYS exam PRIOR to acceptance
  • Job Details
  • **LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes.
  • Hospital expects nurses to be competent in maintaining sterile field as these are frequently performed skills.
  • If a candidate indicates they are not competent in either of these areas, they are probably not a good fit.
  • Educational sessions on lifts, restraints, & wound care
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years ICU experience required.
    • Must have experience in 600+ bed teaching facility.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts 7-7
      • 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
      • Work in with core staff rotation
        • Unit Specific Information
        • MICU, SICU, TICU are part of the 120-bed ICU facility
        • MICU common diagnoses include Sepsis, GI Bleed, DKA
        • SICU common diagnoses include recovering vented patients from the OR, organ transplants
        • TICU common diagnoses include Trauma patients, MVAs, GSW
        • Charge Nurse does not take patients
        • Intensivist availability 24/7 in ICU
        • RNs required to read and interpret their own strips
        • ICU travelers will be required to float amongst all ICU areas, as well as any MedSurg/Tele units
          • Additional Details
          • Travelers required to complete SIMs Lab for specific skills
          • Travelers must understand that they will be floated & will not have an opportunity to refuse
          • Travelers could be asked to float to St. Joseph Westgate campus
