Job Summary
In this role as a Surgical Nurse Specialist at Arizona Specialty Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a team of dedicated professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest level of patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the surgical area.
  
• Assist with the development and compliance with department and AORN standards.
  
• Supervise and coordinate the surgical caseload, modifying rooms and staffing assignments as necessary to meet patient care needs.
  
• Ensure timely turnovers, assist with turnovers, and organize/assist with breaks and lunches.
  
• Participate in the development of recruitment and retention strategies.
  
• Responsible for weekly narcotic counts, daily code cart checks, eye wash stations, etc.
  
• Work with various departments to correct errors and troubleshooting issues.
  
• Responsible for chart audits/focus studies as assigned.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
    
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a hospital OR setting.
    
  • Current Arizona Nursing License.
    
  • Current CPR.
    
  • Current ACLS Preferred.
