Job Description:

Arizona Specialty Hospital seeks an OR RN. The hospital provides state-of-the-art care for musculoskeletal conditions, including joint replacement, spine surgery, and reconstructive procedures. The OR RN is accountable for management and quality patient care, demonstrating clinical expertise, and directing the nursing staff. Key responsibilities include administering patient care, developing and complying with department standards, and participating in the performance improvement process. The OR RN also coordinates surgical caseloads, reviews schedules, and modifies rooms and staffing assignments as necessary. They provide input for capital equipment considerations, ensure appropriate inventory and ordering of departmental supplies, and seek opportunities for cost-effective measures. Required skills include excellent communication and organization habits, ability to adapt to change, and strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient. Required experience includes a graduate degree in nursing, minimum two years of experience in a hospital OR setting, and current Arizona nursing license.
