  • Cardiac Tele RN needed in the Phoenix area.
  • Accepting Candidates without license in hand.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have Level I Trauma Experience
    • Cerner EMR preferred
    • Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam Prior to Acceptance, 80% passing score - 48 hours to complete
    • Experience with post-op Cardiovascular Surgery Patients is highly recommended, but not required
    • RN should be able to interpret common rhythms
    • Experience or 'Must have' skills
      • Schedule Information
      • self scheduling allowed as requests. shifts balanced with scheduler.
      • 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule block
      • 2 day unit orientation;12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
        • Unit Specific Information
        • UNIT: Cardiac Tele - Tower 7
        • Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:3 or 1:4
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CABG, MVR, STEMI, HF, Fundoplication, VATS Decordication, vascular repair
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Resource/Charge nurse ideally does not take patients
        • Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: 1 PCT for 16 beds
        • RT Equipment: Cpap, BiPap, HFNC
        • Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule block
        • Holiday Requirement: yes
        • Floating Requirements: All other applicable areas
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Navy blue- scrubs not provided
          • Additional Details
          • DAY 1 PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes
          • the hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field
          • SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field
