- 9 Paid HolidaysJob Description:The Quality Engineer position
will be instrumental in completing first article inspection reports
in accordance with AS9100 / AS9102 requirements in support of
multiple aerospace customers. This role will also include
performing final product inspection to assure product meets design
and customer requirements. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will
use strong problem solving skills to perform Root Cause Analysis
and perform effective Corrective Actions. They may perform quality
tasks such as non-conforming hardware disposition, quality system
audits, product evaluations, process monitoring, supplied part
problem resolution, and data analysis. This role will also
participate in various process improvement initiatives, including
eliminating waste(s) from existing operations and quality systems
transactional processes, such as scrap, rework and warranty
returns.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve process performance feedback using trend,
Pareto, and other quality tools;
- Develop quality planning with respect to CCS and customer
requirements;
- Provide customer interface with respect to quality issues
including customer audits and surveys;
- Manage Material Review Board to determine if product meets
specifications to performance, controlled by drawing, test
procedure, of specifications of CCS or the customer;
- Support continuous improvement initiatives;
- Support failure analysis on returned switches and address
corrective action requirements;
- Act as source delegate for various customers;
- Work with production on Machine Shop and Final Assembly/test in
resolving technical issues and training inspection where
required.
- Review ECR/ECO and new drawings for Quality
- Administer Calibration requirements and gage control
- Complete FAIR form 3 as required
- Conduct effective training for Inspectors in processes and work
instructions
- Generate 8130-3 tags
- Administer Customer quality portals including ExostarSkills and
Requirements:
- Due to need to maintain ITAR compliance, applicants must be
U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
- Familiar with all key Quality Control processes and various
stages of machine shop processing, including mechanical
inspection;
- Familiar with ANSI 14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing
- Ability to effectively work from written travelers, blueprints,
schematics and quality reports;
- Ability to react to changes productively, and perform other
essential tasks as assigned;
- Perform tasks equal to or exceeding established standards
- Effective time management skills;

computers;
- Ability to read, write, and follow written, verbal instructions
in English;
- Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated
instructions;
